Kingdom Homework :-)

As promised, I'm starting a post for everyone to respond to regarding what you learn this week about the kingdom of God during your personal devotions.

Look for references to the kingdom in the scripture. Can you identify different indications of its proximity (i.e. present, near, delayed, future)? What other characteristics of the kingdom can you identify?

Please comment on this post with anything that jumps out at you or any interesting insights you would like to share wrt the kingdom.

I'll get us started...

Luke 17:21 - nor will people say, 'Here it is,' or 'There it is,' because the kingdom of God is within [or among] you."

Wow! I love this one. This seems to confirm that the kingdom is more than a future reality, but a present reality as well - right where we are!

Luke 18:17 - I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God
like a little child will never enter it.

Interesting... child-like faith.
